Reliable Dump Truck Hauling in Helotes, TX

Helotes sits on the northwest edge of San Antonio in Bexar County, and like much of the Hill Country fringe, it sees a steady mix of residential builds, ranch road work, and commercial site prep. Getting materials delivered here means working with a hauler who understands local road rules and state compliance requirements — not just someone who shows up with a truck.

The City of Helotes restricts commercial motor vehicles on city streets, but allows them when they are traveling to or from a location within the city for the purpose of picking up or delivering goods. In plain terms, a licensed hauler can legally deliver fill dirt, gravel, road base, or other materials directly to your Helotes property — as long as the operator follows the local ordinance and sticks to appropriate routes.

On the state side, all dump truck hauling operations in Texas must register with the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV) Motor Carrier Division to obtain operating authority and meet state insurance requirements. That registration is not optional — it is the baseline for operating legally in Texas. When you hire a hauler, it is worth confirming they carry the right credentials.

Texas also sets a maximum gross vehicle weight of 80,000 pounds for commercial vehicles on public roads. Loads that exceed that threshold require a specialized oversize or overweight permit from the TxDMV. A compliant hauler plans loads accordingly and knows when a permit is needed — protecting your project and the public roads around it.

Bexar County Public Works manages the county road network and infrastructure in the area surrounding Helotes. Contractors and property owners working near county roads or on projects that touch county infrastructure should coordinate delivery logistics with that in mind. An experienced local hauler knows the lay of the land and can route deliveries efficiently without creating problems at the job site.

O'Leary Development Group is a San Antonio-area hauling and material delivery operation that works in the field every day. We are not a call center or a broker. When you need a load of crushed limestone, fill dirt, road base, or gravel delivered to a Helotes address, we handle the logistics from the first call to the last gate.

We operate as a registered motor carrier in Texas, meeting the TxDMV requirements for operating authority and state insurance compliance. That means every load we move is covered, documented, and legal — whether we are delivering to a residential driveway, a ranch road, or a commercial pad site.

We understand Helotes ordinances around commercial vehicle operation. Our drivers follow the rules, use appropriate routes, and deliver directly to your location without cutting corners that could create problems for you or the surrounding neighborhood.

Texas weight laws cap commercial vehicles at 80,000 pounds gross vehicle weight. We plan our loads within legal limits and know when a permit situation requires extra coordination. You will not get a surprise at the gate or a truck that has to turn around because the load was not planned right.

Our service area covers Helotes and the surrounding communities including San Antonio, Leon Valley, Boerne, Grey Forest, Stone Oak, Timberwood Park, and Shavano Park. Whether your project is a single-family home, a ranch road, or a larger commercial development, we have the equipment and experience to support it. Same-day delivery is available. Give us a call and we will tell you straight what we can do and when we can get it done.
