Masonry Sand — What It Is and Where It's Used
Masonry sand is a fine, clean sand with rounded particles. Brown masonry sand is the standard for mortar mixes (type S and type N) used in laying concrete block, brick, and stone. It's also used for sandbox fill, pavement joint sand, and screeding under pavers.

Delivery Requirements & Site Access
Before Your Delivery Arrives
- Gate or entrance wide enough for a dump truck
- Delivery area has stable, dry ground
- Remove parked vehicles and obstructions
- Check for low tree limbs, power lines, carports, and roof overhangs
- Mark the preferred dump location clearly
- Avoid septic systems, drain fields, irrigation lines, and soft ground
- Enough room for the truck to turn around or safely back in

- Driver confirms safe access on arrival
