Site Access & Delivery Readiness
Prepare a safe route and unloading location before your material delivery. Tell dispatch about any access restrictions, and expect the driver to assess conditions on arrival.

What this covers
This policy covers preparation and access for O’Leary Development Group (“ODG”) dump-truck material deliveries, including deliveries arranged through an accepted written quote. It does not guarantee that a truck can enter a property or unload at a requested location. It is not an engineering assessment, and it does not authorize use of neighboring property.
Quick answers
Does my delivery address guarantee truck access?
Can I request a specific unloading location?
Must someone be present?
What if conditions change before arrival?
Full policy text
1. Confirm the delivery information
Give ODG the full delivery address, an accurate map pin when useful, the material and quantity ordered, and a telephone number for a person who can answer delivery questions. Identify the person authorized to approve the unloading location. Tell us about gates, entry codes, restricted hours, narrow or private roads, traffic controls, and any other access restriction before dispatch.
2. Obtain permission for the location
Arrange permission from the property owner or other authorized party for the truck to enter and unload. Tell us about easements, shared driveways, utility work, permit requirements, and community or site rules that may affect delivery. Do not direct a truck onto property you are not authorized to use.
3. Prepare the route and unloading area
Clear parked vehicles, equipment, debris, and other obstacles from the approach and the intended unloading area. Identify soft ground, slopes, drainage structures, septic systems, underground utilities, pavement edges, and any surface that may not support a loaded truck. Point out overhead wires, branches, structures, and other clearance concerns. Access that works for a passenger vehicle may not work for a dump truck.
4. Keep people and equipment clear
Keep children, pets, bystanders, and vehicles outside the truck’s operating and unloading area. Do not walk behind the truck, approach moving equipment, or stand beneath a raised dump body. Follow the driver’s instructions for communication and safe positioning. Stop giving directions if you lose sight of the driver or cannot communicate safely.
5. Driver assessment and safe placement
The driver assesses actual conditions on arrival and may decline an entry, route, or unloading position that appears unsafe or unsuitable. A customer’s request does not require a driver to proceed. If the requested location is unsuitable, contact dispatch to arrange an authorized alternative or to reschedule. Delivery does not include spreading, grading, excavation, or other work unless your accepted written order expressly includes it.
6. Changes, unattended delivery, and unsuitable conditions
Tell dispatch promptly if weather, construction, access, or the unloading location changes. An unattended delivery requires dispatch’s confirmation of the exact location and your authorization; leaving a note alone does not arrange an unattended delivery. If delivery cannot safely proceed, ODG will work with you on next steps. If a load must be returned or redispatched because of job-site conditions or access that was not prepared properly, the return and redispatch charges in our Shipping & Delivery policy apply, as do detention charges for waiting time. Any other charge or refund is governed by your accepted order, our Shipping & Delivery policy, and our Refund & Cancellation policy.
7. After unloading
Stay clear until the driver confirms that unloading and vehicle movements are complete. When it is safe, inspect the material and the location, keep your order information, and promptly report any apparent wrong material, shortage, or other delivery concern. Do not disturb evidence needed to review a concern unless safety requires it.
