Note on Heat with Black Star Gravel

Black Star Gravel is a popular choice for contemporary landscapes because of its striking dark color. In Texas summers, dark stone absorbs and retains significant heat. For areas near children's play zones, pet areas, or where bare feet may contact the stone, consider its heat-retention characteristics before placing.

Common Applications

  • Decorative Landscape Beds Create eye-catching landscape beds with Black Star Gravel. Its rich black appearance provides beautiful contrast against green plants, colorful flowers, and light-colored hardscapes while helping suppress weeds and retain a clean, finished look.
  • Garden Borders & Pathways Use Black Star Gravel to define garden borders, walking paths, and landscape transitions. The angular stone creates a durable, attractive surface that complements both modern and traditional landscape designs.
  • Xeriscaping & Low-Maintenance Landscapes Black Star Gravel is ideal for drought-tolerant and xeriscape landscapes. It reduces the need for mulch replacement, conserves moisture, minimizes weed growth, and provides lasting beauty with minimal upkeep.
  • Outdoor Living Spaces Enhance patios, fire pits, seating areas, and outdoor entertainment spaces with Black Star Gravel. Its bold color creates a clean, contemporary appearance while providing excellent drainage around hardscape features.
