Material Description

About This Product

Pond Fill is a versatile fill material consisting primarily of limestone fines, sand, and residual aggregate particles generated during the washing and processing of crushed limestone products such as 57 Stone and other construction aggregates. The material is collected from settling ponds and stockpiles where fine particles accumulate throughout the aggregate production process.

Due to its composition, Pond Fill is commonly used for filling low spots, rough grading, site leveling, pond backfill, berm construction, elevation corrections, and general earthwork projects where a low-cost fill material is desired. While it may not provide the same engineered consistency as Select Fill, Pond Fill offers an economical option for projects requiring large quantities of material.

Contractors, developers, ranch owners, and property owners throughout San Antonio and Central Texas utilize Pond Fill for land improvement projects, drainage corrections, site preparation, and non-structural fill applications. O'Leary Development Group delivers Pond Fill directly to residential, commercial, agricultural, and construction sites throughout the region.

ABOUT THIS MATERIAL

Fill Dirt — Select vs. Common vs. Pond

Fill materials are classified by their compaction characteristics and suitability for specific applications. Select fill meets TxDOT specifications for structural backfill near foundations and utilities. Common fill is general earthwork material for grading and raising elevation. Pond fill is clay-heavy material that compacts to limit water migration — used for pond sealing and berms.
